Cyberattack

A cyberattack refers to any endeavor to breach the security defenses of a digital environment. Such attacks can manifest in various forms, including attempts to gather sensitive information, disrupt business operations, exploit vulnerabilities, monitor targets, interfere with essential tasks, extract value, or cause harm to both logical and physical assets. Cyberattacks may exploit weaknesses in publicly accessible services, deceive users into opening malicious attachments, or initiate automated installation of exploitation tools through innocent website visits, a method also referred to as a drive-by download. These attacks pose significant threats to the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of digital systems and resources.
